Here are ways in which you can help to bring peace to our war-torn planet:
- Make sure you are registered to vote at your current address. Encourage and assist with voter registration in your community, including your friends and relatives.
- Become informed. Seek information from political parties. Study and discuss the views of candidates for public office.
- Search out and join a peace and social justice group in your area which best reflects your views, or start your own group.
- Write and/or call your Senators and members of Congress to express your concerns on important issues. (See "Government" in phone book.)
- Write letters or op-ed articles to the editor of your newspaper expressing your concerns or support for crucial issues.
- Protest war and military buildup. Join a Peace rally, a letter-writing campaign or other non-violent expressions.
- Contribute what you can to a political party, a candidate for office, or an organization such as ours that supports peaceful solutions to conflict and seeks genuine democracy and social justice.
